What We Did Today: Round #2
To Your Lawn
- Warm Season lawns (Bermuda and/or Zoysia Turf)
received a liquid
application which consisted of the second application of
Pre-emergent
and a broadcast post-emergent to control any broadleaf weeds
that may
have germinated. A liquid fertilizer was also applied that
contains
the latest in polymeric science and acts as a nutrient delivery
system
for the plant. This product allows us to provide the proper
nutrients
throughout the year and it Harnesses these nutrients holding
them to
be readily available as the plant requires their use. This
allows the
plant to use less water and be healthier. There is also a shot
of quick
release nitrogen to aid the warm season turf to come out of
dormancy.
Products will work best if watered in within 10-14 days.
- Cool Season lawns (Fescue) received a liquid
application which consisted
of the second application of Pre-emergent and a broadcast
post-emergent
to control any broadleaf weeds that may have germinated. A
liquid fertilizer
was also applied that contains the latest in polymeric science

What you need to do until our next visit
- According to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources,
Environmental
Protection Division, even though a level four drought response
has been
put into effect in the northern third of the state, homeowners
are allowed
to water their lawn the day of a chemical application by a
professional.
Please check with your local government, as they may be
implemented
additional restrictions.
- If you have Bermuda, you will need to lower your turf. This
basically
means that you need to take the dormant turf that is presently
there
and mow it off as low as your mower will allow you. If you have
Zoysia
turf, you will also need to lower your turf but take caution in
not
getting all the way down to the crown of the plant.
- If you have Fescue, you will want to raise the deck on your
mower
to mow no lower than 3 inches and it is fine to start getting
the Fescue
up to a height of 3-4 inches getting ready for the summer heat.
